Etihad announced details of its new A330neo cabins, including four First Class suites with closing doors, space for companion dining, 32-inch screens and personal powder stations. Service is planned to begin in September 2027, with the previously announced 15 aircraft joining over five years for regional and medium-haul routes. The cabins introduce the Beyond Borders design, which will extend across the fleet and ground experience. Etihad also outlined plans to increase First Class capacity through new aircraft and retrofits, alongside a US$1 billion fleet refurbishment programme.

Etihad became an A330neo customer with a firm order for six A330-900s and a commitment to lease nine more from Avolon, establishing a planned fleet of 15 aircraft for regional and medium-haul growth. Announced at the Dubai Airshow, the agreement also included seven additional A350-1000s, bringing orders for the type to 27, and three A350 freighters, increasing that commitment to 10.
